Fettuccine Alfredo

Hello,
Welcome to my blog. This is a blog inspired by the new movie Julie&Julia.
When I decided to make this blog, I started by searching the shelves of our dining room for a cookbook author with a similar name. I regretfully rested on Emeril Lagasse's "There's a Chef in my Family". I only say regretfully because I'd rather do I meant-for-adults cookbook, but I suppose this will do. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a great cook, but if i had a choice, I'd pick one of his other books. Unfortunately, I only have his kid's cookbook which I got when I was like, 7.

Something unique about my blog is that I am a vegetarian and gluten intolerant which means that I will not only cook the recipes, I will adapt them. 76 recipes, 46 day, can I do it? You'll have to find out.

Today I made Fettuccine Alfredo(page 116). I substituted regular noodles with Thai Rice Sticks. General success!

If you read this, please comment, even if you just write hi. I want to know that I'm not just sending this into random cyberspace.

  1. Hi, Emma,

Just in case you don't remember me, I was your fellow Wind Millie in the Purim shpiel. I, too, am gluten- free, so if you find a really good recipe, I'd like to know about it. There's nothing wrong with using a kids' cookbook. Sometimes I do that for myself. The recipes can be very good! It's good that you're adapting recipes because you will need to do that for your entire life. And as for mistakes-- sometimes you end up with something better than you would have gotten if the goof hadn't happened. That's how post-it notes were invented!
